Spread the fabric more smoothly to reveal the curves, or let folds break up the lines for a relaxed arrangement. The loose front and side drops carry the pattern beyond the seat.

Raised-looking surface detail adds another layer to the bold design. Let the waves be the main pattern, with simpler accessories around them.

Seat count cannot account for your arm width, back height, seat depth and preferred drops. These determine the full route the fabric needs to follow.

Ask Sofa Decor for both finished dimensions of your chosen Colour and Size. Compare them with your measured coverage before ordering.

A larger Size label does not establish a numerical increase in fabric. Fit remains unconfirmed until those measurements are supplied.

PUT THE CURVES ON SHOW

Choose where the waves make their biggest impact

Leave a broad seat area clear to show more of the wave shape. A longer front drop brings the pattern into view as you enter the room.

Position the main area of fabric first, then adjust the corners. Check the effect from the doorway as well as directly in front of the sofa.

Moving the fabric changes both the visible curves and the edge positions. Recheck the opposite side whenever you adjust one drop.

Arrange the curves to suit your sofa. Its shape and your chosen folds will affect where each cream band falls.

PLAN THE WHOLE DRAPE

Measure over the back, seat and arms

Keep cushions in their usual positions and mark the preferred edge locations. Use a flexible tape to follow each change in height.

Side to side: measure from one intended edge, over the arm and seat, across the other arm and down to the opposite edge.
Back to front: measure from the intended rear edge, over the back and seat, down to your chosen front edge.

Record the endpoints and any fabric needed for tucking or folds. Keep the two routes separate for comparison with the finished dimensions.

Describe a chaise, corner or modular layout individually when asking about suitability. The seat-count names do not provide a shaped coverage plan.

DETAIL WITHIN THE DESIGN

A raised-looking surface adds visual interest

The textured-looking face gives the broad bands smaller details to discover up close. The folded edge reveals part of a flatter reverse surface.

Ask us for the fabric and backing details if you have a particular fibre or feel in mind, or if you want to display the reverse.

Plain cushions leave both the waves and surface detail visible. Repeat one of the two colours for a coordinated look, or add a small accent in another colour.
