It’s all in the details

A different look for the lounge you love
A sofa takes up a big part of the room. Changing what’s on it can change the feeling: a leafy border beside timber furniture, a rich pattern against a plain wall, or a textured cream cover with your favourite cushion.
At Sofa Decor, our sofa and couch covers offer different ways to dress that space. Start with the format, then follow your eye to the colour and finish. There is room for a quiet neutral, an expressive pattern or a little of both.

Seat, backrest and armrest pieces let you plan each area separately. A styled photo may show several pieces together; check the selected dimensions and quantity as you build your arrangement.

Stretch slipcovers follow the sofa’s shape more closely. Arm shape, back height and cushion layout matter alongside width. Compare the product’s fitting information with your furniture before choosing.
Explore stretch coversPattern with a little presence
Start with a colour in your rug, artwork or favourite chair. Echo it in the cover, or let a contrasting pattern become the room’s focal point.

Florals, borders & woven detail
Amalfi’s bold palms and geometric border make a feature of the fabric. Elowen keeps its leafy pattern at the edges. Compare the full-room image with the close-ups to see where the design sits.
See a cover both close up and across a sofa. A small repeat can feel quite different at room scale, while a border draws attention to the edges. Keep a few quieter surfaces nearby if you want the fabric to lead.

The pleasure is in the detail
Look beyond the colour. Raised faux fur, fine ribbing and a fringed edge each create a different finish. Separate cover pieces also let some of the original upholstery remain part of the room.
Explore plush textures
Milano pairs fine ribbing with a fringed edge. Its loose folds let the fabric follow the furniture.

Celia carries pale floral and curling-vine outlines across a coloured background, with fringe framing the drape.

Two three-seater sofas can have very different arms, backs and seat depths. A tape measure and a clear coverage plan make the choice easier. Use the listed dimensions, not the room photograph, to plan your fit.
Choose a whole-sofa drape, a fitted slipcover or individual areas. For a chaise or corner sofa, sketch the layout and mark each surface you want covered.
For a throw, include the back, seat and front or side drop. For separate pieces, measure each area and allow for the overhang or fold you prefer.
Compare your measurements with the current product options. Confirm colour, dimensions, piece type and quantity. Styled cushions and accessories do not establish what comes with a cover.
Rooms are made to be lived in
Start with the room you already have. Think about the parts you want to leave visible, the spots everyone uses and the amount of fabric you are happy to rearrange after a busy day.
For an L-shaped or modular lounge, plan the main seats and chaise separately. Check where individual pieces meet and which parts of the original sofa will remain visible.
Explore L-shaped sofa coversThink about where your pet settles and how the room gets used. Compare coverage and care instructions, and check any protection claim on the individual product listing.
Explore covers for pet householdsFollow the care label supplied with your cover. Materials, trims and construction can need different washing and drying methods; a collection name does not establish the care instructions.
Explore cover care guidesThe words often describe the same kind of product. The useful distinction is its format: a draped throw, fitted slipcover or separate cover piece. Check the product photos and selected item.
Check the listing. A photo can show several seat and backrest pieces, decorative cushions and other accessories together. Use the selected options and contents information to work out what you need.
Start with the measuring guide and your sofa’s shape. If the selected option’s dimensions, finished shape or contents remain unclear, contact Sofa Decor before ordering.
