A BOTANICAL TOUCH FOR YOUR ROOM
A calm cream centre, a leafy olive edge
Bring a little botanical detail to your seating with the Sofa Decor Elowen Olive Border Sofa Throw Cover. A broad cream centre is framed by an olive leafy border and short fringe, keeping the main pattern around the edges.
Drape it over the back, seat and arms for a relaxed outline. The cream centre gives your cushions a simple backdrop, while the leafy band brings colour to the front and sides.
Choose an even front edge for a neater finish, or allow looser folds around the arms. Plan where you want the border to sit, then measure for that arrangement.
CREAM AND OLIVE, EASY TO STYLE
Let the border bring the colour
Olive Border is the sole Colour option. Green leaves, narrow tonal bands and pale-and-green fringe add detail around the cream ground.
Tan-brown borders appear in other gallery images but are not a separate selectable colour. If that version caught your eye, ask Sofa Decor to confirm availability before ordering.
Echo the olive tone in a plain cushion or nearby plant, or keep the surrounding accessories neutral so the leaves take the spotlight. The broad cream centre leaves room for your own finishing touches.
Compare both the cream centre and green border with the colours already in your room. Lighting and screens affect shade, so confirm any essential match.
A BORDER WORTH SHOWING
Leaves, tonal bands and a short fringe
Repeating leaves follow a branching line around the edge. Narrow tonal bands frame the motif, with pale and green strands completing the fringed finish.
Leave the front drop fairly even to show the leafy line clearly. Let the sides fall into folds for a more relaxed arrangement around the arms.
Choose where you want the fringe to finish and include that drop when measuring. If its position needs to be precise, ask whether the listed dimensions include the fringe.
THREE LISTED SIZES
Choose the dimensions for your drape
Choose 180x260cm, 180x340cm or 180x420cm. These are listed throw dimensions in centimetres, rather than guaranteed fits for a particular seat count.
| Size option | Listed side 1 (cm) | Listed side 2 (cm) |
|---|---|---|
| 180x260cm | 180 | 260 |
| 180x340cm | 180 | 340 |
| 180x420cm | 180 | 420 |
One side stays at 180 cm. The other increases by 80 cm between sizes, from 260 to 340 to 420 cm. A longer option adds fabric in that direction only.
Compare both listed sides with your planned coverage. Extra length in one direction cannot make up for a shortfall in the other. Confirm finished measurements and fringe inclusion before relying on a precise fit.
The size guide above keeps the exact labels handy. Use your sofa measurements and preferred drops to compare them; a numerical sofa-fit chart is not supplied.
MEASURE FOR THE FINISHED LOOK
Follow the surfaces with a flexible tape
First decide which areas you want covered and where the edges should end. Include the back of the sofa if it is visible from elsewhere in the room.
Measure across the seat and over each arm you want covered, continuing down to your chosen side edges. Follow the curves of the furniture.
Measure separately from the rear starting point over the backrest, across the seat and down the front. Add any allowance you want for folds or tucking.
Keep the two totals separate and compare each with a listed side. If you turn the throw, check the coverage and the direction of the border again.
For a chaise or corner sofa, sketch and measure each change in direction. Send the measurements and a photo to Sofa Decor if you need help confirming a suitable arrangement.
A RELAXED DRAPE
Settle the centre, then show the border
Spread the cream area across your planned surfaces. Check the fabric available at the front, back and arms before adjusting the edges.
Start with the leafy band at the front, then work towards the sides. A level border gives a more ordered look; looser folds make the arrangement more casual.
Adjust a little at a time and check the drops after each move. Smooth or reposition after use as needed, keeping fabric clear of moving mechanisms and walkways.
Elowen suits a loose, draped look with folds around the furniture. Decide how much of the original arms and base you want visible as part of that finish.
DETAIL WITHIN THE PLAIN CENTRE
Fine texture for a simple backdrop
The cream centre has a fine woven-looking surface. Keep it broadly visible for a quiet arrangement, or layer your own cushions over it while leaving the border on show.
Ask us for the fabric details if you have a particular fibre, weight or feel in mind.
Follow the supplied care label. Request washing and drying instructions before ordering if a particular cleaning routine matters to your household.
Choose Elowen for its cream-and-olive design and relaxed drape. If you also need spill, stain or pet protection, ask us about those requirements before relying on the throw for that purpose.
PLAN THE PIECES YOU NEED
Bring the look together
Keep your chosen Size label and two coverage measurements with your notes on where the fringe should finish. These details make a fit enquiry easier.
Keep the cream centre and olive border in view when adding cushions. A few simple accessories let the leafy edge remain part of the room.
If you are coordinating a sofa and another seat, measure each separately. Repeat the olive accent in your own accessories to connect the arrangement across the room.
Compare the dimensions with your planned edges, especially where the leafy border will be most visible. Keep any fringe measurement details with your notes.
A FEW HELPFUL ANSWERS
Choosing your Elowen throw
Can I select the tan-brown border shown in the gallery?Read answerClose answer
Olive Border is the only selectable colour. Tan-brown appears in other gallery images; ask Sofa Decor to confirm availability if you want that version.
How can I style the leafy border with my cushions?Read answerClose answer
Try plain cream cushions for a quiet look, or echo the olive tone for a little more colour. Keep some cream fabric and the leafy edge visible so the border remains part of the arrangement.
Are the fringe and pictured cushion included in the size and contents?Read answerClose answer
Ask whether the listed dimensions include the fringe if you need an exact finishing point. Check what your chosen option includes too, particularly if you would like the pictured cushion cover or insert.
