Start with a patterned seat, or repeat the design over separately planned arms and backrests. Leave some original upholstery visible to frame the geometric pieces.

Each Piece Size option is labelled one piece. Choose the areas you want covered, measure them in two directions and build an arrangement to suit your sofa.

SIX COLOURS, TWO DIFFERENT MOODS

Choose bold contrast or quieter tonal detail

Choose Black Ivory, Ivory Cream, Terracotta Red, Slate Grey, Sage Green or Mocha Brown. Every colour is listed in all three Piece Size options.

Black Ivory makes the pale motifs stand out against a dark ground. Terracotta Red brings a stronger colour statement, with pale shapes breaking up the red.

Sage Green and Mocha Brown pair pale motifs with green and brown backgrounds. Try them as the main accent on a neutral sofa, then repeat a little of the colour elsewhere in the room.

Ivory Cream and Slate Grey keep the pattern more tonal. Their geometric shapes add interest without the stronger contrast of the other colours.

Consider the arms, back or base that will remain exposed. A contrasting panel defines those boundaries; similar tones create a quieter look. Lighting and screens affect shade, so confirm any essential match.

THREE PIECE SIZES

A square or a longer rectangle?

Each exact Piece Size label includes 1 piece. The table gives listed dimensions in centimetres, rather than sofa seat-count recommendations or verified fitting ranges.

The 90x90cm option has equal sides. The rectangles pair a 110 cm side with either 160 or 240 cm. Consider which direction each side would follow in your arrangement.

The longer rectangle adds 80 cm in one direction only. The shared 110 cm side still needs to accommodate its planned route. No size is assigned to a particular arm, back or seat.

Confirm finished dimensions and tolerances if your plan is close to a size limit. A stretch allowance is not supplied.

FOLLOW YOUR CHOSEN COVERAGE

Measure from one planned edge to the other

For an arm, decide whether the piece should cover the top and inner side, the outside face or another route. Leave the front face visible if you want the original upholstery to frame it.

With cushions in their usual positions, use a flexible tape to follow the intended surfaces. Record both directions for each area.

For a seat: measure along the seat and from back to front, adding your preferred front drop.
For a backrest: measure the face and any route over the top, plus the width of the area.
For an arm: follow the top and any inner or outer drop you want. Note the areas you plan to leave exposed.

Keep a sketch with each pair of measurements. Include allowance for any folds or overlap, then compare both totals with a listed piece.

For an unusual shape, send your measurements and a photo to Sofa Decor before choosing. A room arrangement does not identify a particular size for your furniture.

A LITTLE PATTERN OR A FULLER ARRANGEMENT

Give the seat the spotlight

A Mocha Brown piece across the seat creates a band of pattern while the back and arms stay visible. Repeating Elara in those areas gives the sofa a more coordinated look.

Start with the area you most want to refresh, then add other positions to your plan. Each needs its own measurements and chosen piece.

List the position, colour, Piece Size and quantity for each planned area. Count pieces from your layout rather than from the sofa’s number of seats.

Measure modular sections and chaises separately. The options are squares and rectangles, with no named L-shaped or left- or right-chaise piece; confirm suitability for those layouts.

PLAY WITH THE GEOMETRIC BLOCKS

Decide what stays in view

Keep a broad area clear of cushions to show more of the design. Plain accessories give the circles, framed shapes and stepped lines room to stand out.

Turning a piece changes the pattern direction as well as its coverage. Check both together when choosing your arrangement.

Treat neighbouring pieces as separate patterned panels. Exact motif positions and continuous pattern matching between them are not guaranteed.

Follow the supplied positioning instructions, then step back to check the exposed upholstery, edges and folds as a whole. Adjust or reposition after use as needed.

QUIETER COLOUR, VISIBLE DETAIL

Tonal geometry with more to discover

Slate Grey brings out the shapes through changes in tone and surface texture. Pair it with similar-coloured cushions for a calm arrangement, or use a plain contrasting cushion as an accent.
